Platelet Rich Plasma Treatment PRP for Long-Lasting Skin Rejuvenation & anti-ageing
PRP Facial Rejuvenation and Anti-Aging Treatment
Without the use of invasive surgery or dermal fillers, PRP Skin Treatment is a safe and highly effective anti-ageing treatment that aims to promote significant, long-lasting skin renewal for men and women looking for an effective skin rejuvenation treatment.
A PRP Skin Treatment is achieved by separating all four components of your blood by density to achieve concentrated quantities of platelets in plasma. Your clinician will next collect platelet-rich plasma from the blood sample with a very small needle and distribute it to the targeted treatment region.
PRP Treatments can help with the following:
· Reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines
· Improve texture and tone for smoother, brighter-looking skin
· Promote new cell and collagen production
· Improve skin hydration and moisture retention
· Reduce dark circles under the eyes
· Reduce acne scarring
Although this treatment is most commonly used on the face, it is also offered to the backs of the hands, neckline, and other body areas to achieve younger and more radiant skin.
Our Process:
Our initial consultation will address your suitability for the treatment, current health of your skin and aesthetic goals and any concerns you may have before treatment. Three to four treatment sessions spaced three to four weeks apart are required for the optimum results.
Our PRP treatment involves drawing blood from one region of your body, usually the arm, and placed in a centrifuge to concentrate the Platelet Rich Fibrin Matrix (PRFM) which is then injected into the necessary treatment areas via microinjections. This stimulates tissue and collagen production in the skin, increasing blood flow to the area and rejuvenating the skin.
The whole procedure lasts roughly 30- 45 minutes.
Side effects:
Most patients only experience minor discomfort, such as, minor swelling, bruising, itching, and discolouration, which normally subside after two days. A local anaesthetic may be offered to more sensitive patients to reduce any discomfort associated with the injection.
How often are treatments needed?
Following the first four sessions, a follow-up treatment 6 months later and subsequently annually may be recommended to help maintain the renewed skin. During your initial consultation, this will be discussed with you.
